So this year RT is being held in Chicago! I’m seriously thinking of going. This is my $$ and sense post!

$$

1- Conference registration: $469

2- Conference hotel: $130 x 6 nights= $780. Or $160x 6 nights=960 / 4 people= $240/each

3- Gas to drive from Ottawa to Chicago = $60/tank x 4 tanks=$240

4- Hotel in Detroit (there and back) = $300 (approx).

5-Food/drinks= $500 (mostly drinks)

 

Total estimated costs (with roommates): $1749.

So basically 2 grand. Phew!

So I

A) need to find 3 roommates who are crazy enough to stay with me for like 6 nights.

B) Need to find out if anyone wants to drive with me for 14+hours from Ottawa to Chicago (or somewhere in between!)

C) Tell work they’re losing me for a week and a bit (oh dear lord!).

This is going to be brilliant!
